Temporary Enforcement of Epidemic Prevention Measures When Entering Japan

The arrival after 0:00 (JST) on 7 September, 2022 , travelers who have received three or more doses of vaccine that meet the conditions, will no longer required to obtain a negative certificate (by PCR test) before departing to Japan.

1． Before Departure（from June 2022）

Fast Track is availableBy pre-registering the necessary documents and information using the designated application before entering Japan, the time required for quarantine, immigration and custom procedures at the time of entry into Japan will be greatly reduced.

You could prepare documents listed below prior to your departure:

■ Inspection certificate (aka negative certificate) issued within 72 hours (from the sampling time to departure time of the flight)【MHLW website: Submission of inspection certificate】
The certificate must meet the conditions specified by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare. If you do not have the certificate, you will not be allowed to board the aircraft.
How to obtain a certificate for entering Japan in Cambodia

■ Written Pledge【MHLW website：Submission of written pledge】
When entering Japan, it is necessary to make pledge such as to stay at own residence as required, refrain from using public transportation, present location information, and install a contact confirmation application. The written pledge can be downloaded from the website and be prepared in advance. (Depending on the airline, completing the written pledge may be a condition for check-in.)

■ Questionnaire【MHLW website: Submission of questionnaire 】
Access the Questionnaire Web on your smartphone or tablet and submit the QR code issued after filling the information, to the quarantine officer (depending on the airline, completing the questionnaire may be a condition for boarding procedures).

2．After Entry into Japan（from June 2022）

From 1 June, 2022, entering Japan from Cambodia (including entry by indirect flight), on-arrival PCR test or home quarantine after entering the country will no longer required regardless of the vaccination status.
It is possible to travel freely within the country after entry.
