Temporary Enforcement of Epidemic Prevention Measures When Entering Japan

   

Procedure to enter Japan

            From March 1, 2022, the following measures are required when traveling to Japan.

■ Submission of certificate of negative test result (aka negative certificate) conducted within 72 hours (within 48 hours if transit through Singapore) prior to departure (click here for details）
The certificate must meet the conditions specified by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare. Please check the above website for details.
Please see here for how to obtain a certificate for entering Japan, in Cambodia. If you do not have the certificate, you will not be allowed to board the aircraft.
*If you transit to a third country on a flight arriving in Singapore after September 10, you must be tested and obtained a negative certificate within 48 hours prior to boarding the aircraft at your first departure point.

■ Submission of questionnaire* (click here for details)
Access the Questionnaire Web on your smartphone or tablet and submit the QR code issued after filling the information, to the quarantine officer (depending on the airline, completing the questionnaire may be a condition for boarding procedures).
 
■ Submission of Written Pledge* (click here for details)
When entering Japan, it is necessary to stay at own residence as required, refrain from using public transportation, present location information, and install a contact confirmation application. The written pledge can be downloaded from the website and prepared in advance.
 
■ Installing required apps on smartphone* (click here for details)
By the time you enter Japan, you need to have the applications (for providing location and contact confirmation), specified by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, installed on your smartphone or tablet.
If you do not have a smartphone, you will required to rent one at your own expense, in the quarantine area when you enter Japan.
     
(*it can be completed upon arrival in Japan, but the time required to enter Japan may be significantly increased. Also, depending on the airline, prior completion may be a condition for boarding an aircraft. It is advised to prepare and complete in advance as much as possible.)

■ Certificate of Vaccination 

If your vaccination condition meet what mentioned in the mitigation measure (click here for details),you are no longer required to quarantine by submitting your Vaccination certificate, but if you vaccination type is invalid, you must do 3 days self-quarantine at home or designated accommodation and follow instruction by the Government.
