Single entry visa for acquaintance/friend visit

This visa is eligible for those who are visiting an acquaintance/a friend or relatives (other than relatives by affinity within the third degree) residing in Japan.

* Inviter must be a resident in Japan.
Please note that your application will not be accepted if there are any missing documents. 

Note:
• During the visa process, the applicant may be requested to submit additional documents deemed necessary.
• Documents to be submitted should be in A4 size.
• The duration of the issued document should be within 3 months from the date of issue, and be submitted within its validity period.

Documents prepared by applicant

（1）  Valid passport
          Should have at least 2 blank pages for visa
（2）  Copy of passport
          Only bio-date page (printed on A4 paper)
（3）  Visa application form (*signed by applicant)
          ・ Affix 1x photo（4.5cm×3.5cm, white background）
          ・ If there is any omission in the description, it will be not accepted
（4）  Documents to prove relationship
          ・ Photos taken together, letters, e-mail or printed copy of telephone calls records, ect. 

Supplementary documents
          ・A minor traveling without legal representative’s company ⇒ Letter of consent

（5）  Letter of invitation
          ・Affixing a seal is not required
          ・The relationship with applicant(s), reason for invitation, and background to invitation should be written in details
（6）  Name list of visa applicants
          ・When there are multiple applicants
（7）  Schedule of stay
          ・Daily activities from the date of arrival to the date of departure written by each day, arriving and departing flight information (if already fixed), place of stay (name,  its address and contact number).
（8）  Letter of Guarantee
          ・Affixing a seal is not required
（9）  Documents to prove ability to pay for travel expenses (either of the following documents)

           ・ Certificate of income, tax payment certificate (issued by office of city, ward, town or village) or
           ・ Bankbook
           ・ Certificate of counterfoil of tax return (with the seal of reception of the tax office). For e-Tax: submit ‘notification receipt’ and ‘final tax return’.

（10）  Certificate of residence 'Jyuminhyo'
          Please submit certificate of residence separately in case of inviter and guarantor are not the same person.
（11）  Documents related to inviter
           ・ If inviter/guarantor is a foreign national → Photocopy of his/her passport and both sides of valid Residence Card

          Original copy of bank statement or bankbook (attach a copy) etc. (lastest update, 3 months period)
          If someone supports for travel expenses, additionally submit:
               • Sponsership letter (stating relationship with applicants) or
               • Documents to prove kinship for family (resident book, family book, ect.)
