Statement by Ambassador UENO on Cambodia's Progress of Procedures towards Ratification to the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS)

វឌ្ឍនភាពនៃនីតិវិធីរបស់កម្ពុជាឆ្ពោះទៅរកការផ្តល់សច្ចាប័នលើអនុសញ្ញាអង្គការសហប្រជាជាតិស្តីពីច្បាប់សមុទ្រ (UNCLOS)

ខ្ញុំ​សូម​ស្វាគមន៍​យ៉ាង​កក់ក្តៅ​ចំពោះ​វឌ្ឍនភាពនៃនីតិវិធី​ ដើម្បី​ឆ្ពោះទៅរកការផ្តល់សច្ចាប័នលើអនុសញ្ញាអង្គការសហប្រជាជាតិស្តីពីច្បាប់សមុទ្រ (UNCLOS) នៅកម្ពុជា រួមទាំងការអនុម័តនៅក្នុងសម័យប្រជុំពេញអង្គរបស់ព្រឹទ្ធសភា (ថ្ងៃទី ២១ ខែមករា) និងរដ្ឋសភា (ថ្ងៃទី ១៦ ខែមករា)។
 
រដ្ឋាភិបាលជប៉ុន រួមទាំងស្ថានទូតជប៉ុនប្រចាំនៅកម្ពុជា បានគាំទ្រកិច្ចខិតខំប្រឹងប្រែងរបស់កម្ពុជាក្នុងការផ្តល់សច្ចាប័នលើអនុសញ្ញា UNCLOS តាមរយៈការរៀបចំសិក្ខាសាលាដោយមានអញ្ជើញអ្នកជំនាញ និងមធ្យោបាយផ្សេងៗទៀត។ រដ្ឋាភិបាលជប៉ុននឹងបន្តចូលរួមចំណែកយ៉ាងសកម្មក្នុងការថែរក្សា និងអភិវឌ្ឍសណ្តាប់ធ្នាប់សមុទ្រដោយសេរី និងបើកចំហ​ ដែលផ្អែកលើច្បាប់អន្តរជាតិ ដូចដែលបានឆ្លុះបញ្ចាំងនៅក្នុងអនុសញ្ញា UNCLOS ហើយនឹងសហការយ៉ាងជិតស្និទ្ធជាមួយកម្ពុជា។

Cambodia's Progress of Procedures towards Ratification to the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS)
 
I warmly welcome the progress of procedures towards the ratification of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) in Cambodia, including the approvals in the plenary sessions of the Senate (January 21) and the National Assembly (January 16).
 
The Government of Japan, including the Embassy in Cambodia, has supported Cambodia's efforts to ratify UNCLOS through holding the seminars by inviting experts and other means. The Government of Japan will continue to actively contribute to the maintenance and development of a free and open maritime order based on international law as reflected in UNCLOS, in close coordination with Cambodia.
