January 9, 2013 marked the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Cambodia and Japan. A Commemorative Ceremony was held at the Japan Cambodia Cooperation Center (CJCC). During the ceremony, H.E. Mr. Long Visalo, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affaires and International Cooperation and H.E. Masafumi Kuroki made congratulatory speeches. Their Excellencies declared the commencement of “Cambodia-Japan Friendship Year 2013”, which aims to promote people-to-people exchange programs in various fields, such as economics, culture, arts, science, sports and tourism.

During Ceremony, official Logo and Catchphrase for 60th anniversary were unveiled. The official event which is endorsed by the Joint-Committee following guideline will be allowed to use the official logo and will be included on the event schedule of “Cambodia-Japan Friendship Year 2013”.
