Application for the commemorative Event of the 60th
" Anniversary of Friendship Between Japan and Cambodia"

In order to promote the 60th Anniversary of Friendship between Japan and Cambodia and further enhance the people to people exchange between us, the Embassy of Japan in Cambodia and the Executive Committee of the 60th Anniversary of Friendship between Japan and Cambodia welcome the application for the accreditation of commemorative events of the 60th Anniversary of Friendship between Japan and Cambodia.
Organizations which would like to apply for accreditation of events commemorating the 60th Anniversary of Friendship between Japan and Cambodia are kindly requested to read the following guidelines and submit the relevant documents through Email.
Accredited event can use the title, “The Commemorative Event of the 60th Anniversary of Friendship between Japan and Cambodia”, the official logo and catchphrase (to be decided shortly). The event will also be listed on the event calendar of the Embassy’s official website as one of the commemorative event of the 60th Anniversary of Friendship between Japan and Cambodia.

  Criterias for Accreditation

  1. 1. In principle, the event should be held during the period from January 1, 2013 to December 31, 2013 either in Japan or in Cambodia, with the purpose of promoting exchange between Japan and Cambodia.


  2. 2. The contents of the event should contribute to the promotion of exchange in various fields (such as youth, arts, intellectuals and academics, sports, tourism, politics, economics, etc), deepening mutual understanding and strengthening the friendship between Japan and Cambodia


  3. 3. The objective of the event should be clear and feasible.


  4. 4. The event should not intend to promote particular principles, political opinions or religious beliefs and it should not violate public order and public morals.


  5. 5. The organizer of the event should bear all the costs of the event.

  6. 6. The organizer must submit the “Application Form for Inclusion in the Commemorative Event” and the “PLEDGE” to the Embassy of Japan in Cambodia for the application.


  Benefits of Accreditation

  1. 1. The accredited event can use the title, “The Commemorative Event of the 60th Anniversary of Friendship between Japan and Cambodia”, the official logo and catchphrase for publicity materials (e.g. posters, flyers, websites, signboard, and banner)


  2. 2. The accredited event will be listed on the event calendar of the Embassy’s official website as one of the commemorative events of the 60th Anniversary of Friendship between Japan and Cambodia.


  Application Procedures

1. Required Documents
  Application Form for Inclusion in the Commemorative Event (Word)
  PLEDGE (Word)
  Documents about the details of the event (including guideline and budget plan of the event, etc)
  Documents about the organizer (such as the organization’s brochure, activities’ report, etc)
(Note) If your Requested Event is accredited as the Commemorative Event of the 60th Anniversary of Friendship between Japan and Cambodia, and you’ve chosen “Yes, I do” in the 2nd page of the application form, your Requested Event will be automatically approved as one of the Commemorative Event of the 40th Year of ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation.

  Accreditation Procedures

  1. 1. Send all the required documents through E-mail to the Embassy of Japan in Cambodia.


  2. 2. The accreditation procedures by the Embassy of Japan in Cambodia and the Executive Committee of the 60th Anniversary of Friendship between Japan and Cambodia.


  3. 3. Announcement of the result
    If an event will be accredited as a “Commemorative event”, the result will be informed to the representative of the event, together with the data of the official logo and catchphrase.


  4. 4. The event will be listed in the event calendar.

    5. The accredited event will be listed in the event calendar of the official website of the Embassy of Japan. The direct link to the organization’s website can be appeared in the event calendar of the Embassy’s website, too.

    (Note) The accreditation process will take at least two weeks from the time of application.

  Notes

  1. 1. Please make an application well in advance of the event. It takes at least two weeks for the accreditation procedures to be completed.


  2. 2. The Embassy of Japan or the Executive Committee will not answer any enquiries with regard to the process of selection.


  3. 3. After the accreditation is made, all responsibilities related to the implementation of the events will be borne by the organizers of the events. Neither the Embassy of Japan in Cambodia nor the Executive Committee of the 60th Anniversary of Friendship between Japan and Cambodia will in any way be responsible for the consequences of the event.


  4. 4. In the case of any change or cancel in the plans of the event, such change is required to be officially reported in writing to the Embassy of Japan in Cambodia at the earliest possible.

  5. 5. After the accreditation has been made, if it is discovered later that the contents of the event does not match with the conditions of accreditation, in such a case the accreditation is liable to be cancelled by the Executive Committee.

  6. 6. The use of official logo and catchphrase is not allowed in any circumstances for the third party of another event or organization without any notice in advance to the Embassy of Japan in Cambodia.

  7. 7. A written report is required to be submitted to the Embassy of Japan in Cambodia after the completion of the event, with the explanation of the event’s content and result. Those reports can be uploaded in the official website of the Embassy of Japan in Cambodia.
