Application for "Japan-Cambodia Kizuna Events "

In order to promote the bilateral relationship between Japan and Cambodia and further enhance the people to people exchange between us, the Embassy of Japan in Cambodia welcomes the application for the accreditation of “Japan-Cambodia Kizuna (literally meaning “bond of friendship”) Events”. Organizations which would like to apply for accreditation of the events are kindly requested to read the following guidelines and submit the relevant documents through Email.
Accredited events can use the title, “The Japan-Cambodia Kizuna Event”, the official logo (to be decided shortly). The event will also be listed on the event calendar of the Embassy’s official website as one of the Japan-Cambodia Friendship Events.

  Criterias for Accreditation

  1. 1. In principle, the event should be held during the period from July 1, 2015 to July 31, 2018 in Cambodia, with the purpose of promoting exchange between Japan and Cambodia.


  2. 2. The contents of the event should contribute to the promotion of exchange in various fields (such as youth, culture and arts, intellectuals and academics, sports, tourism, politics, economics, etc), deepening mutual understanding and strengthening the friendship between Japan and Cambodia


  3. 3. The objective of the event should be clear and feasible.


  4. 4. The event should not intend to promote particular principles, political opinions or religious beliefs and it should not violate public order and public morals.


  5. 5. The organizer of the event should bear all the costs of the event.

  6. 6. The organizer must submit the “Application Form for Inclusion in the Japan-Cambodia Kizuna Event” and the “PLEDGE” to the Embassy of Japan in Cambodia for the application.


  Benefits of Accreditation

  1. 1. The accredited events can use the title, “The Japan-Cambodia Kizuna Event”, the official logo for publicity materials (e.g. posters, flyers, websites, signboards, and banners)


  2. 2. The accredited events will be listed on the event calendar of the Embassy’s official website as one of the Japan-Cambodia Kizuna Events.

1. Required Documents
  Application Form for Inclusion in the Commemorative Event (Word)
  PLEDGE (Word)
  Documents about the details of the event (including guideline and budget plan of the event, etc)
  Documents about the organizer (such as the organization’s brochure, activities’ report, etc)

  Accreditation Procedures

  1. 1. Send all the required documents through E-mail to the Embassy of Japan in Cambodia.

  3. 3. Announcement of the result
    If an event will be accredited as a “Japan-Cambodia Kizuna Event”, the result will be informed to the representative of the event, together with the data of the official logo.


  4. 4. The event will be listed in the event calendar of the homepage of the Embassy of Japan.

    (Note) The accreditation process will take at least two weeks from the time of application.

  Notes

  1. 1. Please make an application well in advance of the event. It takes at least two weeks for the accreditation procedures to be completed.


  2. 2. The Embassy of Japan will not answer any enquiries with regard to the process of selection.


  3. 3. After the accreditation is made, all responsibilities related to the implementation of the events will be borne by the organizers of the events. The Embassy of Japan in Cambodia will not in any way be responsible for the consequences of the event.


  4. 4. In the case of any change or cancel in the plans of the event, such change is required to be officially reported in writing to the Embassy of Japan in Cambodia at the earliest possible.

  5. 5. After the accreditation has been made, if it is discovered later that the contents of the event does not match with the conditions of accreditation, in such a case the accreditation is liable to be cancelled by the Embassy of Japan.

  7. 7. A written report is required to be submitted to the Embassy of Japan in Cambodia after the completion of the event, with the explanation of the event’s content and result. Those reports can be uploaded in the official website of the Embassy of Japan in Cambodia.
